How Tomorrow’s Workforce Works

Event: REIMAGINE 2019 – GoSpotCheck’s User Conference

On its third year, and growing in scale and interest, we set out to rebrand the user conference in the interest of building intrigue, value, excitement, and inspiration. Donned with its new name and lending itself to endless branding opportunities, I built the mark to be transformative, moving into the new while celebrating the past. The deconstructed art-deco typeface blended with the neon effect did such.

Supporting creative maintained the theme with visuals strong in light, speed, and color evoking an edge and intrigue.

The scope of this project was massive including venue decor and directional signage, website and digital marketing creative, print, motion graphics, apparel and swag material, presentations, event app, and more.

Installations & Signage

Transforming Denver’s Mile High Station, with its raw and industrial aesthetic, into a futuresque, bright and colorful space required strong elements including large-scale, dramatic imagery and intriguing decorative accents. Centered around light, movement and form, I commissioned custom linear light elements and balanced it with large cylindrical forms through the balloons.

The space interior, including the beautiful chandelier of Mile High Station and Art Deco theme of the 2nd venue next door inspired the 3 graphic “drip”, “circular”, and “truss” elements.

Lastly, the massive ceilings and bare brick real estate lent itself to large format brick melt in the form of lifestyle imagery to soften the mechanical feel and add a human element to the space. Additional signage included wayfinding on the walls and floors, hanging signage, window vinyls, and outdoor styrene woven throughout the exterior fencing.

Marketing Collateral

Marketing support collateral ranged from printed invitations to badges, email, social, design of the Aventri event app, landing page, and more.

The design elements continued to show themselves through all material for consistency and recognition.

SPOT Shop

What’s one of the best parts about attending a conference or trade event? The SWAG, of course! We took this notion one step further in creating our own store, called the SPOT Shop, where customers could cash in their custom branded chips for a variety of apparel, accessories. and gear.

One of GoSpotCheck’s prominent use cases is around merchandising and display execution. Borrowing from the customer experience our own customers strive to perfect every day, the SPOT Shop was designed to be an homage to them, retail and CPG professionals.

Event: WSWA 2019 Orlando, FL

The WSWA Convention is the premier event where distributors seek out new and exciting beverage products, meet with existing partners and look for services to enhance internal operations.

The Reimagine campaign was all about approachability. In a slowed-down legacy industry that finds itself struggling to implement metrics and data-driven decision making, it was important that GoSpotCheck had a non-threatening tech presence to the beer, wine and spirits industry that delivered excitement and interest to the idea of leveraging their field teams and driving ROI results with the help our software.

We created a non-salesy reprieve for conference attendees to unwind and hang out while gaining some insight about our software and, if interested, view a demo. The WSWA attendees are constantly tasting new alcoholic beverages, attending late-night special events, and keeping on their feet. To help them”recharge”, we offered a variety of complimentary services including chair massages, shoe shines, oxygen bar, refreshments, and a phone cleaning station. Additionally, visitors had ample soft seating to kick back and charge their devices.

Own the Customer Experience at the Speed of Retail.

Event: NRF 2018, New York, NY

The National Retail Association’s annual Big Show is where visionary retail industry talent meets visionary tech. Where big box retailers share out of the box ideas, and the latest and greatest becomes the here and now.

Brick and mortar retailers are grappling with massive disruption via e-commerce and digital transformation. They need to protect their in-store experience and drive operational excellence and innovation to stay competitive. Retail is driven by speed, demand, service and seasonality. GoSpotCheck closes the loop for retailers in transition and protects the field.

For the event, we created an environment where visitors could experience the app in a space as close to bringing the retail space as possible. In order to represent our top 4 retail verticals: Beauty, Electronics, Grocery, Apparel, as well as a space to demo Beta image recognition app HiFi, we designed a mock retail environment complete with appropriate display systems, product, and promotional pieces. Visitors were able to get one step closer experiencing the app it real time and in a space that supported the sleek and modern GSC brand.
